Lip pencils are often overlooked and considered unimportant but they can be a key tool for achieving perfect defined lips. With just a few advices, we can help you find the right one for you!

1 CHOOSE FROM PUPA PENCILS

Choose the pencil to suit your needs: Pupa offers 2 main types of pencil:

• True Lips: can be used as a lip liner, a lipstick or a base to make your lipstick last longer. The latex blending applicator helps to distribute the colour evenly.

• Made To Last Definition Lips: define the lip contour with precision that will last thanks to extreme waterproof hold.

2 FIND OUT WHICH PENCIL TO USE WITH YOUR LIPSTICK

Once you’ve chosen which type of pencil to use, find the perfect match for your PUPA lipsticks. We’ve created a simple table that matches one or more pencils to each lipstick colour.

How to read this table
It’s easy! Every line contains a number that identifies the lipstick colour and the matching pencil so once you've chosen the lipstick you want to purchase, you immediately know which pencil is the perfect match. For example, if you choose I'm lipstick 107 (Lychee) , you will see that the pencils that match it best are: Made To Last Definition Lips 102 (Soft Rose) and True Lips 002 (Tea Rose) and 004 (Plain Brown). 3 APPLY YOUR LIP PENCIL PERFECTLY

Follow our easy guide shown in these images. Browse the lip shapes shown to find the one most similar to your own. Use the pencil as shown by the red dotted line to make your lips plumper, more proportioned or simply more defined, as you prefer. You can use your chosen lip pencil to correct asymmetry and make your lips look bigger or smaller.

4 USE THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES FOR DEFINED LIPS THAT WON'T SMUDGE

For perfectly defined lips and evenly applied pencil and lipstick, you need a ‘cat tongue’ brush such as the Pupa lip brush or the retractable lip brush which you can take anywhere.
And to avoid smudging, Pupa recommends the Lip Primer: it smooths the lips and makes your lipstick and pencil last longer. And the Transparent Lip Liner pencil: apply outside your natural lip line to create a barrier effect that will prevent unsightly smudging. The invisible texture means it can be used with any lip pencil or lipstick.
